THE GOOD STUFF

Ingredients

LET'S MAKE IT

Step by step

  1. Steep hibiscus in hot water for 10 minutes, then strain.
  2. Simmer berries, sugar, lemon and hibiscus tea for 20–30 minutes until thickened.
  3. Cool and refrigerate. This is refrigerator jam, not a shelf-stable canning recipe.
A few notes: adjust sweetness to taste, refrigerate homemade syrups and follow the manufacturer’s directions for specialty tools. Use pasteurized egg products where applicable.
